He (Ben Gordon) also isn’t sure how the Pistons or any other team will handle playing 66 games during a compressed schedule.
“I guess taking care of the body is the most important thing, but everybody in the league is going through the same thing,” he said. “It’ll be on who adjusts (more quickly).”
Being a professional requires you to stay in shape year-round, Gordon believes, so he hopes there won’t be much lag when training camp begins.
“In training camp you have to play hard every possession,” he said. “In the summer you can take a possession off here and there. That’s the major difference — the intensity.”
