Live from the road…

We been on the road for a good week now, striving out across the heartland of America. First show for us was Maryland, small show only about 50 heads, but we rocked it, even got into the crazy material (Monchichi etc). After that we packed up and drove straight 11 hours to Atlanta. We had the shadiest hotel of our journey so far, id checks and security guards even to park, and we crashed out before sound check. Georgia Tech was ridiculous, the nicest frat house we’ve performed at by far, and a good party. Akon’s brother Omar and his people came and peeped the show and we got it cracking. Carnegie proceeded to play hood bangers for a few hours and turned the party out and then we slept all day.
Since then we’ve been staying in Atlanta with the manager from Wandering Starz, going studio to studio, peeping beats, and just getting plans right. Omar cooked us an amazing beni-hana style meal at the Rhythm liquor condo downtown, and we’ve just been writing non-stop. Trip highlight was a brief stop at Gladys Knight’s Chicken and Waffles, which was outstanding.

We’re out in Atlanta writing the next two days then we head down to Ohio, Wisconsin and Illinois this weekend.

I’ma post pics tomorrow.
