Last Night and Tonight and a Night Some Time Ago
Awesome Local Natives song and video that got me through this morning. Woke up in a hotel room fully clothed (including jacket) in Atlantic City, and now I’m staring into the belly of the solitary lemonade Four Loko left in the mini fridge. Before the commute back to Brooklyn continues, I feel its that time to update on some things. First off, tonight is Halloween, so if you’re not in jail after last night, or reconsidering being a grown ass man wearing a “bed intruder” costume, there are more events to go to. First off, Heidi Klum’s party at Lavo. I technically can’t go within 200ft for about another 45 days (very complicated non-disclosure agreement related to something unrelated), but I do have RSVP info so follow us on www.twitter.com/silvermedallion and hit us up for the info. I’ve seen more than 5 Die Antwoord costumes so far this Halloween weekend, which I highly approve of, although I can’t see them working outside of Brooklyn… I highly approve of the female ones, off general principle, if you’re going to be a slut for Halloween, at least do it with a meme South African music star. Honey Mustard Baked Salmon
Ingredients: Herbs & Vegetables: White mushrooms Shallots Scallions Garlic Spices: Sea salt Fresh ground black pepper Brown sugar Protein: 1lb fresh salmon fillet Sides: White rice Fats &/or Sauces: Extra Virgin Olive Oil Unsalted butter Worcestershire sauce Stone ground mustard (spicy if you like it) Sweet honey mustard Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Start your rice as you normally would. I may post an easy way to make nearly perfect rice another day. On a sheet of foil, big enough to wrap your piece of fish in, take your oil, I used olive, and spread enough for the skin-side surface of your fillet. On top of that sprinkle a bit of your sea salt. Chop, slice, dice, or mince your herbs and vegetables and coat the fillet, which you’ll then lightly dust with the ground black pepper and salt. Lay four or five pads of butter on top that sprinkle with roughly a tablespoon of brown sugar, making sure it’s all evenly coated. Drizzle a bit of your Worcester and both mustards over all of that and finally wrap your concoction up into a nice little package. Place it all in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes or until your fish is flaky and/or opaque. I prefer mine extremely moist so I cook it on the shorter end of the spectrum. Accompany this with your favorite vegetable side, a salad, as well as the rice and you have a light meal for two or one decent man-sized meal.

Moments In Love
Bumping some art of noise, 4am on a Thursday morning in NYC, bringing yall the heat for tonight. I know everyone’s all CMJ crazy and there’s hella showcases tonight, but there’s also a damn good regular party that features and aging (aged?) Kool Keith. Go ham here for a bit in between other events, enjoy the 2am open bar (see you there) and revel in a mix or wierd and completely terrible performances. Damn near sounds like a showcase… Peace.
